Department of ENT has successfully conducted CME on Coablation and its uses in ENT inviting Dr Shalabh Sharma from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi on 6.10.2017.
We also celebrated 9th Ganesh Man Singh HN studies annual function inviting Prof Ram Chayaman Amathya as a Cheif guest, where we we facilitated our beloved and retiring Professor Bimal Kumar Sinha on 5.6. 2017.
Department of ENT has successfully conducted 6th Head and Neck Workshop (18-20 Dec 2016), Fess workshop (25-27 Jan 2017) and 3rd Pediatric airway workshop (12- 14 Feb 2017).
Department of ENT successfully organized 27th Kalyan Mani Acharya Dixit Annual Program on 23rd October 2016.

Its a matter of great pleasure that we have been observing 5th anniversary of the ENT Servicesstarted in the Ganesh Man Bhawan. Putting the long History aside, last one year, besides carryingout the regular services, conducting courses in the department, running surgical camps in thecountry and abroad, an afternoon OPD was started in last Fagun. The 18 general bed indoor wasstarted recently. All these activities could be possible because of painstaking efforts of my predecessorsand the clear vision of the present director of the hospital. Primary ear care training for health worker started in 2001 A.D by IMPACT Nepal in association with Department of ENT & HNS GMSA ENT and Head Neck Studies . The trainee from various district likeSiraha, Dhanusha, Udayapur, Morang, Sunsari, Saptari , Kathmandu and Rautahat comes for 1 month training in the department every year. Till present date more than 500 health personnel have been trained.
Ear surgical camps in different parts of Nepal were started by IMPACT Nepal in association with Department of ENT & HNS GMSA ENT and Head Neck Studies from 1996 A.D . Each year in an average 5 camps are being held. Faculty members, nursing staffs along with MS Residents doctors regularly attend the camps. IMPACT Nepal has launched the Ear Surgery Camps in following places: Lauki, Madhuban, Dhangadi, Palpa, Janakpur, Pyuthan, Siraha, Syngja, Rajbiraj, Birgunj, Sarlahi, Mustang, Kirtipur, Butwal, Dhulikhel, Rupandehi, Gorkha, Bhaktapur, Lamjung, Sindhuli, Rukum, Lumbini, Dolakha, Argakhanchi, Palpa, Bhairahawa, Barabise and Doti. Till present date 4,387 ear surgeries had been done.
International Outreach Programmes
Middle Ear surgical camp in Cambodia was started in 2009 by IMPACT Nepal. Faculty member and nursing staffs from GMSM Academy of ENT and Head Neck Studies regularly attend the camp. A total of 9 camps and 366 surgeries have been performed till date.
The surgical camp in Bangladesh was started in 2001 by IMPACT Nepal. Faculty members, nursing staffsof GMSM Academy of ENT and Head Neck Studies and Anesthesiologists from TU Teaching Hospital regularly attend the camp. A total of 9 camps and 388 different ENT surgeries have been performed till date.
